Power Platform Developer

Client: Big 5 Bank

Location: Hybrid Downtown Toronto, Ontario

Terms: 6-month contract

Hours: 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday; 9AM-5PM

Position Overview: We are seeking an expert Power Platform Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable business applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate). They will work closely with business units to identify opportunities for process improvement and deliver innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal team members and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Power Platform tools.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Power Apps and Power Automate flows to support various business processes.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft 365 services and data sources as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Provide technical support, documentation, and training to end-users and business units.
  • Stay current with Power Platform updates, best practices, and emerging trends to continuously improve solution offerings.
  • Participate in code reviews, solution design sessions, and agile development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder).
  • Proficient in building Canvas and Model-driven Apps, as well as premium connectors and data integrations.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, and related Microsoft 365 services.
  • Experience with process automation, workflow design, and business process mapping.
  • Familiarity with programming languages
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certification(s) (Nice to Have – Power Platform Fundamentals PL-900, Power Platform Functional Consultant PL-200 or Developer Associate PL-400/PL-500)
  • Knowledge of governance, security, and compliance within the Power Platform ecosystem.
