Description
To grow Unosquare’s business by applying expertise in industry trends, software strategy, and project scoping to win new clients and plan successful projects.
Description
The Principal Software Strategist supports Unosquare’s sales and marketing teams with expertise in software project planning, scoping, and staffing for their vertical. Strategists translate client goals, market dynamics, and delivery realities into actionable software strategies. They build deep vertical expertise to earn trust, lead structured discovery, and turn insights into solution blueprints and proposals.
In the High Tech vertical, “deep vertical expertise” means something different: instead of specializing in a single industry such as healthcare or fintech, the strategist must develop a breadth of domain understanding across a variety of sectors. The ideal candidate has a long and diverse career in software design, product strategy, or consulting, with experience supporting clients from multiple industries. A technical background—particularly in STEM or other structured disciplines—is especially valuable, as it enables rapid learning when engaging with new technologies, architectures, or industry-specific workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and facilitating discovery and strategy conversations with prospects and clients
- Generating proposals for software projects to address customer business goals (including timeline, team composition, milestones, and pricing)
- Researching and synthesizing thought leadership materials (talks, whitepapers, articles) to demonstrate Unosquare’s expertise.
- Developing a deep understanding of common customer types and problems in your vertical to enable positioning of Unosquare’s offerings in both marketing and sales
- Internal Enablement: sharing insights that shape new offerings and strengthen cross-team alignment.
