Description

Aeolus Staffing Solutions is supporting a public-sector client in the search for an experienced Privacy Manager to support the design, implementation, and execution of an enterprise-wide privacy framework.

This is a senior, hands-on privacy role focused on compliance with FIPPA and CASL, working closely with legal, IT, analytics, and corporate compliance teams.

Location: Sault Ste. Marie, ON (preferred)

Term: 2–3 months (strong potential for extension)

Schedule: 5 days/week @ 7.25 hours/day

Rate: $70–$90/hour (contract)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert privacy advice on programs, initiatives, contracts, and technology
  • Interpret and apply FIPPA and CASL across enterprise initiatives
  • Lead and support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
  • Investigate privacy complaints and breaches; recommend corrective actions
  • Enhance privacy policies, procedures, controls, and training programs
  • Act as a subject-matter expert to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support privacy compliance for third-party service providers

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years in a senior privacy role (public sector strongly preferred)
  • Expert knowledge of FIPPA and CASL
  • Experience conducting or advising on PIAs
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Privacy certifications (CIPP/C, CIPT, CAPP) are an asset
