Our client is a global expert in electrical specialties and advanced materials for high-tech industries. With more than 50 industrial sites and 16 R&D centers in 35 countries around the world, they develop custom built solutions and delivers key products to its clients in order to meet the new technological challenges shaping tomorrow’s world in the wind power, solar power, electronics, electric vehicles, aeronautics, space and countless other industries. They are seeking a Product Data Manager (PIM) to join them on a full-time permanent basis.
The Product Data Manager (PIM) is responsible for optimizing and maintaining the Product Information Management (PIM) system and its integrations to ensure accurate, enriched, and scalable product data is available for website and channel partners. This role plays a critical part in delivering a best-in-class customer experience through strong product data governance, quality, and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Own and drive product data quality, governance, enrichment, and standardization across all channels and target groups.
- Optimize, maintain, and enhance the PIM system and its integrations in collaboration with IT and Third-Party Application Maintenance (TMA) teams.
- Lead change management activities, including onboarding new users, testing, and supporting system enhancements.
- Analyze new business and data requirements and define appropriate interfaces, processes, workflows, and system functionalities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Define requirements and support the rollout of new PIM functionalities.
- Record, analyze, and communicate new product data requirements (e.g., classifications, data formats, electronic catalogs, web datasheets).
- Ensure compliance with major data exchange standards used in the electrical industry (ETIM, FabDis, BMECat, IDEA) for distributor and customer data sharing.
- Manage the publication and synchronization of product data to owned systems, including websites and other applications.
- Manage troubleshooting and ongoing development of PIM items supporting website product data operations.
- Act as a key business partner across departments, aligning product data strategies with commercial and digital objectives.
- Responsible to drive data enrichment, control and improve the quality of the data and propose KPI.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with PIM systems or related data platforms.
- Strong understanding of Product Information Management, product data governance, and digital commerce ecosystems.
- Understanding of data exchange formats and classifications (BMECat, FabDis, IDEA, ETIM).
- Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of XML, XSLT, SQL; strong ability to adopt new digital tools and technologies.
- Experience working with Website CMS and DAM systems.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, global environment and navigate large organizations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams with the ability to share knowledge and expertise across regional teams and collaborate on innovative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results
- Fluency in English is required; French is an asset.
- Familiarity with the basics of electricity and electrical products.
- Ability to travel in North America and France as required
