Description
This candidate will have a strong ability to take client ideas and create an attractive product based on their needs. This candidate should feel comfortable creating prototypes and communicating with internal teams in order to deliver wholesome solutions. The candidate should also have an ability to follow budget constraints and demonstrate some pieces of previous works through a portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Understand desires of client and create attractive product
- Work closely with product managers and other teams (sales and marketing) to establish plan for product release Acknowledge budget and make plans in order to follow financial guidelines
- Create product prototypes prior to creating final product
- Adjust approach towards designs based on feedback provided
Qualifications·
Diploma / Certificate in mechanical, electrical engineering, and related discipline
Have previous experience utilizing AutoCAD, SolidWorks and SolidEdge as a minimum
Knowledge in CAD/CAM software an asset
Knowledge of Architectural products and design requirement.
Portfolio of work
Ability to quickly produce shop drawings and respond to production needs.
Design and prepare detailed electronic working plans, and scale drawings for commercial products for lighting, walls, and acoustic products. Complete BOM for accuracy and enter jobs into M1 (ERP System) or seek co worker help on the M1 entry for job release
Produce detailed, final hard drawings and specifications using dedicated computer software (SolidEdge) to produce design specifications, including part lists and cost information
· Work closely with production team to select cost effective materials and construction techniques.
· Make basic computations to determine layout of charts, strength of materials and requirements for structural design.
