Job Title: Product Manager – Personal BankingLocation: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days/week Tuesdays & Thursday)Duration: 10 monthsContract Type: T4 onlyPay Rate: CA$58.62/HourCurrent/Up-coming Projects:Technology changesBusiness changesResponsibilitiesThe Product Manager of Overdraft reports to Group Product Manager of Overdraft in Canadian Personal Banking. This role is responsible to manage the portfolio of overdraft protection products for retail customers.The Product Manager develops and implements product strategies to drive sales of overdraft protection products, optimize profitability and improve the customer experience. This role is responsible to optimize risk-return to drive acquisition of new accounts. This role carries out competitive analysis, monitors product and system performance, and assesses problems to develop and implement solutions. The Product Manager has P&L accountability and manages product risks.The Product Manager will collaborate with members of the Everyday Banking Products team, and with internal partners, such as Credit Strategy, Collections, Customer and Product Analytics, Leads Management, Marketing, Digital, Technology, Operations and Salesforce Effectiveness.Key AccountabilitiesProduct StrategyAssist in the development of the overall product strategy and roadmapProactively identify opportunities to improve the portfolio of products and capabilitiesEstablish priorities and drive the evolution of capabilities with key partnersProduct InitiativesLead the implementation of complex projects with large multi-functional teams, through ideation, requirements, implementation and change managementMonitor progress against project plans to ensure completion. Conduct post implementation analysis to measure financial impactProactively solve issues and eliminate obstaclesRisk ManagementOptimize risk-return to drive acquisition of new accountsEnsure that the portfolio operates within risk appetite and key risk metricsManage risks, and support the evolution of policies, procedures, and controlsP&L ManagementExplain financial results and forecast future performanceMonitors key product performance and growth metrics to identify trends and recommend action plans.Drive actions to improve profitability through data-driven decisionsMust Have Requirements:Previous 1-2 years of experience in retail product management, as a bank employee or consultant (business end) – more years the betterPrevious banking or FI experiencePrevious experience in manage project delivery experienceNice-To-Haves:Previous experience with Technology changes, implementationStrong experience in business casing, campaign management, technology project delivery, P&L and risk managementSkillsDistinctive problem-solving skills and ability to think strategicallyRobust analytical skillsProven project management and change management skillsHighly developed relationship management skillsStrong verbal and written communicationStrong work ethic and can work independently
