About Pulse Labs

Pulse Labs is a research and data operations firm backed by Google and Amazon. We partner with leading technology companies to deliver large-scale, real-world data programs that support product development, model evaluation, and decision-making across emerging technologies, including AI, automotive systems, voice assistants, and connected devices.

Our data programs often span multiple workstreams, studies, platforms, and teams, requiring tight coordination across technical, operational, and client-facing groups. As this work scales, we are building a dedicated Program Management function to ensure delivery remains predictable, aligned, and sustainable.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Program Manager, Data Programs to own delivery for complex, multi-workstream data initiatives. This role focuses on coordinating execution across teams, systems, and timelines to ensure data programs are delivered reliably and at scale.

The Program Manager operates across multiple initiatives, maintaining a program-level view of timelines, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs. You will partner closely with Project Managers, data and engineering teams, research stakeholders, product partners, and client teams to translate program roadmaps into executable plans and keep delivery aligned as requirements evolve.

The ideal candidate is systems-oriented, technically fluent, and comfortable operating in ambiguity, with experience managing programs that involve data pipelines, tooling, validation, and cross-team dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery & Planning

  • Own end-to-end delivery for one or more client data programs spanning multiple workstreams or waves
  • Develop and maintain integrated program-level plans, timelines, and dependency maps
  • Coordinate sequencing of work to balance priority, capacity, technical constraints, and risk
  • Ensure programs deliver against client expectations, quality standards, and timelines

Cross-Project & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate work across internal teams, including UX Operations, Panel Recruiting, Data, Engineering, QA, Product, and Platform teams
  • Track dependencies across data collection, validation, processing, and delivery workflows
  • Facilitate program-level syncs focused on readiness, risks, and upcoming milestones

Risk, Scope & Change Management

  • Identify delivery risks early, including data quality, tooling, capacity, or dependency risks
  • Assess the impact of changing data requirements, methodologies, or timelines
  • Support scope and tradeoff conversations as program needs evolve
  • Escalate program-level risks proactively with clear mitigation options

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide consolidated, program-level updates to client stakeholders
  • Ensure clarity and alignment around delivery plans, timelines, and constraints
  • Partner with account, data, and technical leads to maintain client confidence throughout delivery

Process & Program Improvement

  • Identify recurring bottlenecks or failure points in data and technical workflows
  • Contribute to improving planning, coordination, and delivery processes for data programs
  • Help shape how the Data Program Management function operates as it scales

Qualifications

  • 4+ years managing complex, multi-project or multi-workstream programs
  • Strong planning, organization, and communication skills
  • Experience coordinating work across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to manage dependencies and anticipate downstream impacts
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving technical requirements
  • Experience working in data-driven or technical environments

Preferred

  • Experience managing data programs, analytics initiatives, or platform-based delivery
  • Familiarity with data collection, validation, QA, and delivery workflows
  • Comfort partnering with engineering, data science, or platform teams
  • Background in research operations or applied research environments
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, or fast-paced tech organizations
