Project Manager / Engineer (Building Science)
Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will manage projects from the conceptual and preliminary stages of the project design through to its completion.
- Site investigation and evaluation of existing buildings
- Preparation of reports and studies
- Preparation of designs for new construction and rehabilitation projects
- Undertake/oversee building condition assessments, field investigation work such as leak investigations of all aspects of the building envelope, including roofs, walls, windows and foundations
- Project management, contract administration, and field reviews
- Design and analysis to determine effective repair alternatives
- Coordination with other engineering and architectural disciplines
- Oversee and provide training to staff
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Building Science project engineer with P. Eng. Designation (or pursuing it)
- Experience with new construction or rehabilitation projects involving building envelopes.
- Minimum 5 years prior building science experience
- A commitment to providing exceptional client service and developing technical expertise in building science
- Self-motivated, fast learner with a desire to continually learn and grow
