Project Manager / Engineer (Building Science)

Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will manage projects from the conceptual and preliminary stages of the project design through to its completion.

  • Site investigation and evaluation of existing buildings
  • Preparation of reports and studies
  • Preparation of designs for new construction and rehabilitation projects
  • Undertake/oversee building condition assessments, field investigation work such as leak investigations of all aspects of the building envelope, including roofs, walls, windows and foundations
  • Project management, contract administration, and field reviews
  • Design and analysis to determine effective repair alternatives
  • Coordination with other engineering and architectural disciplines
  • Oversee and provide training to staff

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Building Science project engineer with P. Eng. Designation (or pursuing it)
  • Experience with new construction or rehabilitation projects involving building envelopes.
  • Minimum 5 years prior building science experience
  • A commitment to providing exceptional client service and developing technical expertise in building science
  • Self-motivated, fast learner with a desire to continually learn and grow
