WJ is currently looking for our next Project Manager to join the growing team. In this role you will work closely with the internal team to ensure all client projects and objectives are delivered on-time and on-budget. Project Managers play a crucial role in client and agency success, as they are responsible for efficient planning and organization of projects, resource allocation and coordination and quality assurance. 

As a Project Manager your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Creating project plans, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and developing detailed timelines and schedules. Coordinating with team members, assigning tasks, creating documentation, and tracking progress to ensure projects are on track.
  • Resource Allocation: Managing resources, including team members, budgets, and tools, to ensure they are allocated effectively and efficiently for each project. Ensuring that team members have the necessary resources to complete their tasks on time.
  • Project Communication: Serving as a point of contact for projects, maintaining regular communication, providing project updates, addressing client inquiries and concerns, and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Management: Managing and leading cross-functional teams, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, providing guidance and support, and facilitating collaboration and communication among team members to achieve project goals.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. Proactively addressing any issues or roadblocks that may impact project delivery and taking corrective actions to keep the project on track.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements. Reviewing and approving project deliverables, conducting quality checks, and ensuring that all project components are thoroughly tested before delivery.
  • Financial Management: Monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that projects are delivered within approved budgets. Works closely with the administration team to ensure projects have been accurately invoiced.

The right candidate will demonstrate on their resume:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications and advertising
  • 3+ years of experience working in project management
  • Previous work experience within a marketing agency is considered a strong asset
  • Previous exposure managing multiple projects with competing timelines
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing strategy and analytics, including but not limited to brand, campaigns, content, social, digital, and web.
