Job Title: Python Software Engineer Client: Elite Fintech
Salary: $140,000 – $250,000 CAD Base (+Bonus)
My client is looking for an experienced Python Software Engineer to join their rapidly expanding development team, leveraging Python to streamline and automate critical processes. Degree in Computer Science or STEM based subjects.
~5+ years of experience in a relevant role such as Python Software Engineer or Quant Developer.
~ Proficiency in modern software development practices, including version control and agile development methodologies.
~ Design, implement, and optimize trading algorithms, order execution systems, and real-time data processing tools using Python to support front office trading strategies.
Work closely with traders and quant teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and enhance the trading platform’s functionality and performance.
Focus on improving system performance, minimizing latency, and ensuring high availability of trading systems, with a strong emphasis on efficient Python coding practices.
Develop tools for real-time monitoring, risk assessment, and analytics, ensuring the systems can handle large volumes of market data and provide timely insights to the trading desk
