Job Title: QA Engineer – Connected TV & Mobile Applications

Location: Remote

Overview:

We’re looking for a mid-level QA Engineer with a passion for high-quality user experiences across Connected TV (CTV) and mobile platforms. You’ll be hands-on testing apps for Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Samsung, LG, iOS, and Android – focusing on manual and exploratory testing, while supporting automation initiatives to improve test coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual and exploratory testing for CTV and mobile apps, ensuring functionality, performance, and UI/UX consistency.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, cases, and automated scripts for regression, smoke, and feature testing.
  • Support automation efforts using tools like Appium, WebDriverIO, or Playwright under senior QA guidance.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to validate requirements and edge cases.
  • Track and manage defects in JIRA or similar tools, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Validate builds across devices and OS versions to confirm release readiness.
  • Participate in sprint planning, release reviews, and continuous QA process improvements.
  • Assist with maintaining test environments and device labs for CTV and mobile testing.

Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years’ QA experience, ideally in streaming, CTV, or mobile app environments.
  • Hands-on testing experience across CTV (Roku, tvOS, Fire TV, Samsung, LG) and mobile (iOS, Android) platforms.
  • Solid understanding of manual testing, regression testing, and Agile methodologies.
  • Basic familiarity with automation tools (Appium, WebDriverIO, Playwright).
  • Proficiency with JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr for test management and defect tracking.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Bonus: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Charles Proxy, and GitHub.
