Terminal Rail Unloader/Support
The position of Terminal Rail Unloader/Support will provide bulk fuel terminal operations and maintenance support with a primary focus on providing safe and efficient rail transload operations. Employee must comply with all plant safety rules/PPE requirements and work with terminal leadership towards achieving goals/objectives.
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the proper transload of products.
- Perform plant and equipment inspections and tests including completing daily inspection and compliance tasks
- Ensure railcars are properly equipped for the loading/unloading of customers’ commodities, including transportation of dangerous goods
- Communicate with the switching crews and operations for the safe and efficient transfer of the customers product
- Perform various maintenance tasks assigned during times when transloading operations are not necessary.
- Perform various operations tasks to support terminal product movement
- Ability to read and write general documentation including safety briefings, policy and procedure manuals
- Physically fit including the ability to pull self up and down from a railcar on a
- continuous basis, able to lift and twist air hoses, able to secure rail car brakes, derails, and switches
- Knowledge with technology and computer systems with a willingness to use Excel
- and Outlook daily
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to maintain clear drug & alcohol clearance
- throughout their employment
- Be willing and able to work in all weather conditions
