Description
Our client in Downtown Toronto, ON is seeking a Receptionist to support day-to-day front desk and administrative operations within a nonprofit environment. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. The role is fully onsite and best suited for someone organized, professional, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities
- Greet, screen, and assist visitors; verify appointments and notify staff
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and general inquiries
- Maintain reception, waiting, and common areas in a professional and welcoming manner
- Handle all inbound and outbound mail, courier services, and packages
- Receive, track, and organize in-kind donations and inventory
- Coordinate delivery and pickup of donated goods and furniture
- Monitor and maintain storage and inventory areas
- Assist with resident move coordination alongside staff and drivers
- Order office supplies and support inventory management
- Prepare basic correspondence, forms, reports, and documents
- Maintain organized filing systems and office records
- Provide first-level support for office equipment (printers, scanners, photocopiers)
- Track and prepare invoices for approval and signature
- Support general office administration and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of strong receptionist or administrative experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel required)
- Strong customer service, communication, and phone etiquette
- Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking skills
- Adaptable, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 35–40 lbs using proper lifting techniques
- Previous experience in a nonprofit, NGO, or donation-focused environment is an asset
