Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and dedicated Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join a respected and growing company in the mining equipment service sector in Saskatoon, SK. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the mechanical systems of Battery Electric mining equipment and components . You will also play a key role in commissioning new equipment and providing training to customer site personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and servicing of mining equipment.
  • Plan for tools and parts required for tasks following all work procedures.
  • Commission new products including pre-delivery and hot commissioning at customer sites.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and solve common equipment issues.
  • Perform preventive and cost-efficient repairs on components.
  • Suggest improvements to customers’ products/processes based on experience.
  • Complete and submit maintenance reports; obtain customer approval for invoicing.
  • Guide junior staff and coach customer technicians on basic servicing principles.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical field and Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic License.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with mining equipment (experience with underground mining equipment preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics proficiently.
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
  • Computer literate (MS Office).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to local mine sites and across Western Canada.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts as needed.
  • Eligible to work legally in Canada.
  • Willingness to travel for training (potentially internationally, up to four months).
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
