Mental Health & Wellness Retreat Coach / FacilitatorOverview
We are seeking a compassionate, grounded, and experienced Mental Health & Wellness Retreat Coach / Facilitator to join our growing retreat team in Bragg Creek, Alberta.
Vita Wellness Retreats offers private, one-on-one mental health and wellness retreats ranging from 4–14 days, with retreats running 3–7 times per month. This role is ideal for a therapist, counsellor, social worker, or mental health practitioner, mental health, practitioners, life coaches, holistic, healers, who enjoys immersive, personalized work and supporting clients through deep emotional and nervous-system-focused and trauma-informed healing.
In this role, you will guide clients through our structured self-development program while also providing customized 1:1 coaching and emotional support, facilitating the daily retreat experience, and helping ensure clients feel supported, grounded, and cared for throughout their stay.
Experience with holistic, somatic, or spiritual modalities is considered a strong asset.
Schedule & Availability
Retreat days typically run 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM (first day from 2:00-5:30pm)
Programs are 5 hours per day
Minimum of 5 hours per retreat day, with a maximum of 5 hours per day
Retreats run 3–7 times per month
Advance notice can be provided when applicable
Flexibility is offered; however, availability when retreats are booked is essential
Compensation & Structure
Compensation is hourly, based on experience, credentials, and scope of practice
Pricing is discussed individually and aligned with qualifications and professional background
Retreat facilitation includes a minimum and maximum of 5 paid hours per day
Practitioners who offer additional services or modalities (e.g., somatic work, breathwork, mindfulness, energy work, coaching, or other aligned offerings) may have these added to retreats at a separate flat rate, when appropriate and agreed upon in advance
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate private, one-on-one mental health and wellness retreats
Guide clients through our structured self-development and mindset program
Provide individualized coaching and emotional support tailored to each client’s needs
Support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and personal insight
Assist with retreat facilitation, including:
Client check-in and orientation
Light hosting responsibilities during the retreat
Coordinating lunch and dinner service for the client
Create a safe, grounded, and supportive environment throughout the retreat
Collaborate with other wellness and mental health professionals on the care team
Maintain clear and accurate session notes and documentation where required
Uphold professional boundaries, ethics, and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
Background as a Therapist, Counsellor, Social Worker, Mental Health Practitioner, or related field
Registration or eligibility to practice within your scope (where applicable)
Experience supporting mental health, emotional regulation, trauma-informed care, or personal development
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build trust and rapport quickly in a one-on-one setting
Calm, grounded presence with the ability to hold space compassionately
Experience with holistic, somatic, mindfulness, or spiritual modalities is an asset
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
Additional Requirements
Comfortable with electronic documentation / records
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work independently and responsibly in a retreat setting
