Position Description

The ROC Monitoring Analyst provides first-line monitoring and event triage for Eneon’s managed BESS assets, ensuring alarms/events are translated into timely, consistent, and well-documented actions with clear escalation and customer communication. The role supports a predictable monitoring operation through strong documentation, data quality, and workflow traceability from event to action to resolution and evidence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Alarm/event monitoring & triage: Monitor SCADA/EMS alarms and operational events during coverage hours; validate, classify, and triage per ROC playbooks and quality standards.
  • Ticket/work order management: Create, update, and close tickets/work orders in the work management system with correct prioritization, clear notes, and required closeout fields/evidence.
  • Escalation & dispatch coordination: Follow defined escalation paths; coordinate dispatch with Field Services; manage handoffs and maintain a clear timeline of actions taken.
  • Customer communications: Provide consistent customer updates aligned to monitoring communication standards; maintain incident/shift logs and ensure communications are documented in the system of record.
  • Operational documentation & evidence: Attach screenshots, logs, notes, and other evidence to support auditability, customer questions/disputes, and contractual performance obligations.
  • Data quality & reporting support: Ensure events have complete and accurate classification (closure reason, outage category, repeat-event tags) to enable KPI reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Repeat-event reduction support: Flag nuisance alarms and repeat drivers; support root-cause follow-up by compiling timelines/evidence and tracking corrective actions to closure.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a ROC/NOC/control room or operations support environment; comfortable monitoring live systems and managing multiple concurrent events.
  • Working knowledge of SCADA/EMS concepts, alarm handling, and operational risk basics.
  • Strong documentation habits and comfort following SOPs/playbooks with consistent execution.
  • Clear written and verbal communicator; able to support escalations and customer-facing updates professionally.
  • Comfortable using ticketing/CMMS tools; able to maintain clean data for reporting and improvement.
  • BESS/renewables familiarity is an asset.
