SENIOR ANALYST, MEDIA ANALYTICS
Summary of Position:
The Senior Analyst, Media Analytics will leverage data to drive insights and support strategy for MODCO’s portfolio of clients. This role will contribute to the day-to-day requirements of the Analytics Team and will work closely with media supervisors and directors, as well as Technical Development, SEO, and Paid Media teams. The Senior Analyst will engage directly with internal and external stakeholders to review how client media investments are performing, identify ways to optimize and grow their media investment, bring innovation to clients, and elevate their understanding of performance. The goal for this role is to contribute to the expansion of the agency’s reporting & insights capabilities that lead to better integrated marketing strategies, specifically around the understanding that data fuels action.
Responsibilities:
- Performance Analytics: Lead analysis, and interpretation of media performance across paid channels (digital, TV/CTV, social, search, influencer and more).
- Partner with Performance and Paid Media teams to evaluate media mix and campaign performance; provide insights on awareness, reach, and consideration KPIs to ensure investments ladder up to long-term brand equity and growth.
- Develop frameworks for spend by initiative, life stage, and campaign type that can be shared cross-functionally and executive teams to bring transparency and alignment to investment decisions.
- Collaborate with teams to align test-and-learn agendas, improve creative-to-media continuity, and enhance conversion efficiency.
- Deliver proactive recommendations on budget reallocations, audience targeting, creative formats, and investment pacing to maximize ROI and drive incremental growth.
- Translate campaign data into clear insights and recommendations that help clients understand what’s working, what’s not, and where we go next.
- Technical Execution: Contribute as a subject matter expert in website and media performance data, leveraging data into insights, creating transparency & alignment to achieve client strategy, performance & productivity.
- Support leadership as a data owner and subject matter expert on website and GTM performance metrics & data.
- Ensure alignment of website GTM strategy, goals & KPIs with one source of truth on performance.
- Enable client teams with the data they need to effectively drive desired business outcomes and hit targets.
- Work in tandem with the Technology team to build, configure and maintain data warehouses and/or data lakes.
- Build and maintain executive-ready dashboards and reports that tie media investments to KPIs such as CAC, CPA, LTV, ROAS, and topline revenue, while also communicating progress on brand health and awareness metrics.
- Support leadership and key stakeholders in the business and serve as a trusted advisor in decision-making processes.
- Explain and visualize the flow of data, including an understanding of how tags work and event tracking strategies.
- Leverage emerging technologies, tools, and data platforms to push the boundaries of what’s possible, ensuring our analytics capabilities stay ahead of industry trends.
- Demonstrable experience in Google Analytics/GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
- Experienced in utilizing data aggregation tools such as Funnel.io, Supermetrics, Adverity, and/or Databricks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Media, Math, Statistics, Marketing Analytics or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience leading analysis and interpretation of media performance across paid channels (digital, TV/CTV, social, search, influencer, affiliate and more).
- Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience Digital Media, Agency, Marketing or Retail Experience with client engagement
- Deep understanding of marketing analytics and the ability to develop and execute data-driven strategies that enhance audience engagement and revenue growth.
- Understanding of and experience implementing modern marketing measurement techniques such as Media Mix Modeling, Multi-Touch Attribution, incrementality testing, and brand lift studies
- Experience with advanced data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Looker Studio and familiarity with emerging technologies in data analytics.
- Proficiency working with Digital Ad Serving/Tracking platforms is a plus (DCM, Meta, Google Search, etc.)
- A strong track record of translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business growth and performance improvements.
- Must have a great attitude, team collaborator and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Resourceful, curious, and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite with intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel/Sheets.
