Senior Embedded Software Developer
Location:<br/><br/>Montreal, QC (Hybrid, 4 days on-site)

Salary:<br/><br/>$115,000–$130,000<br/><br/>Auxo is partnering with a fast-growing Montréal startup building next-gen wireless platforms for real-time, low-power communication. Their stack powers smart products across audio, industrial, and connected devices — and they’re just getting started.<br/><br/>They’re looking for a<br/><br/>Senior Embedded Software Developer<br/><br/>to own core parts of the firmware stack, lead technical design, and help scale a high-performance engineering team. Designing and developing embedded firmware in C/C++ from spec to production
Architecting scalable systems that optimize for power, latency, and reliability
Leading protocol development (networking, mesh, point-to-point)
Driving system-level debugging and performance analysis
Collaborating closely with hardware and product teams on multi-disciplinary R&D<br/><br/>What you bring
8+ years of embedded systems experience (firmware + system-level design)
Expertise in embedded Linux or bare-metal development
Deep knowledge of low-level debugging, architecture tradeoffs, and optimization
Experience building systems that ship in volume or in critical environments
Leadership in technical discussions and mentoring junior team members<br/><br/>Nice-to-haves
Hands-on wireless (BLE, Zigbee, LoRa, UWB) or RF integration experience
Familiar with power management techniques and battery constraints
Proficiency with scripting (Python, MATLAB) or lab automation tools
