Capgemini Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Data & AI Strategist to join our growing Insights and Data practice in Canada. Your expertise in oil/gas, telecommunication, retail and utilities would be appreciated. We’re hybrid not fully remote.

This strategic role is focused on helping clients unlock business value and agility through modern data operating models and scalable delivery frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data strategy, operating model design, and agile transformation, with a passion for enabling enterprise-wide data-driven decision-making.

The Senior Manager will work closely with technology and business leaders to shape and implement data strategies that drive measurable outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of product-oriented delivery models (PODs), data factory models, and the ability to lead complex transformations across diverse client environments.

Key Responsibilities Client Strategy & Advisory

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to architect how data can unlock business value through the right operating model.
  • Refine and implement client Data Operating Model vision, strategy, and design— including organization structure, roles & responsibilities, governance, and processes.
  • Provide insights on common pitfalls in operating model transformations and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Operating Model Design & Implementation

  • Shape and lead the implementation of modern data operating models, including POD-based delivery and data factory constructs.
  • Set up and scale PODs to meet evolving business needs, ensuring agility and efficiency.
  • Support the creation of methods and processes to embed new ways of working across client organizations.

  • Transformation Leadership
  • Develop actionable roadmaps for complex data transformations using Agile principles.
  • Lead and coach client teams in adopting new operating models and data engineering practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Strategy & Thought Leadership:

  • Inspire and educate both clients and internal teams about the latest trends and innovations in data & AI technologies (Databricks, Azure, OpenAI, Mistral, etc) , positioning Capgemini as a leader in the market.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with Technology Partners and key stakeholders to ensure Capgemini remains a leading partner.
  • Advance the AI & Data brand of Capgemini in Western Canada though curated media & public speaking opportunities.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data operating models in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery principles and product-oriented team structures.
  • Experience with data transformation programs, including roadmap development and execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior decision-makers.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms and cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake).
