Role Summary

Join the Boundary Services team to own the ingress and service mesh layer for a large-scale, cloud-native platform. This role focuses on Istio-based traffic routing, gateways, and reliability in production Kubernetes environments.

What You’ll Do

• Own and operate Istio ingress gateway and service mesh
• Design and manage traffic routing, retries, timeouts, and mTLS
• Build and standardize ingress patterns for multiple teams
• Debug production traffic and gateway issues
• Set best practices for boundary and ingress architecture

Must-Have Skills

• Hands-on Istio in production (IngressGateway, VirtualService, DestinationRule)
• Kubernetes (EKS / AKS / GKE)
• Ingress, API Gateway, and load balancers (ALB / NLB / AGA)
• Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong networking fundamentals (HTTP, TLS, routing)
