Your new role
You’ll take full commercial ownership of key projects with values between £20m- £100m, shaping their financial success from day one. You’ll act as the commercial lead within a focused project team, driving clarity, accountability, and confidence across all stages of delivery. Your expertise will guide decisions, ensuring every contract performs to its full commercial potential. You will shape accurate, timely commercial reporting that informs senior leadership and steers project success.
What you’ll need to succeed
Successful Senior Quantity Surveyors will have at least 7 years experience operating within Tier 1 contracting environments, demonstrating the confidence and capability required to deliver in high‑performing teams. You will possess a strong track record across two‑stage procurement, with the ability to manage your own projects from early planning through to completion. Broad sector exposure is essential, particularly within education, leisure, healthcare, life sciences, and residential schemes, including projects ranging from £20m to £100m in value. A grounding in pre‑construction activities enables them to influence cost, risk, and programme from the outset, ensuring stronger commercial outcomes.
To excel, they must also hold a solid understanding of construction techniques, supported by an HNC/Degree in QS, commercial management or a related discipline, and, ideally, RICS membership.
