About the Role

The role involves leading the full recruitment life cycle, including conducting needs assessments with hiring managers, creating and broadcasting positions, screening applicants, conducting behavioural interviews, and managing the hiring manager and candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full recruitment life cycle.
  • Conduct needs assessments with hiring managers.
  • Create and broadcast positions.
  • Screen applicants and conduct behavioural interviews.
  • Manage the hiring manager and candidate experience.
  • Develop and execute creative, cost-effective, innovative, and productive sourcing strategies.
  • Source and pre-screen candidates; lead and execute the pre-employment screening processes for new hires.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the applicable talent and competitive business market to attract and source top talent.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with prospective candidates to continually build and maintain a talent pipeline.
  • Guide and support hiring managers on recruitment-related decisions, including candidate selection and offer details.
  • Deliver formal interview skills training sessions to hiring managers.
  • Negotiate and present offers to selected candidates; prepare offer letters.
  • Engage in continuous improvement by analyzing resourcing metrics and conducting recruitment follow-up assessments with new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with recruitment & organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and update policies and procedures as required.
  • Utilize the recruitment management system effectively to drive recruiting activities.
  • Strengthen CIBC Mellon brand by cultivating industry networks at recruiting events.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive recruitment experience
  • 3+ years experience recruiting for technology roles.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with NJOYN (ATS).
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and legal practices.
