What you’ll own

  • Full-cycle recruitment, building strong, consultative relationships with engineering and product candidates
  • Participating in kickoff calls to dig into the role, team culture, and true must-haves
  • Sourcing qualified candidates using LinkedIn and Loxo.ai
  • Writing transparent, tailored outreach messages (no spam blasts), and following up by phone when it matters
  • Running high-quality technical interviews and screens with engineering and product candidates
  • Preparing candidates for interviews so they go in confident, informed, and ready
  • Championing the candidate experience while keeping searches moving with urgency and care
  • Keeping communication clear, proactive, and honest with AMs and candidates throughout the process
  • Debriefing with candidates after interviews to keep alignment tight and momentum steady
  • Managing offer stages end-to-end, including negotiation support, counteroffers, and driving closes
  • Sharing real-time market feedback with the team on comp, titles, stacks, and dealbreakers
  • Tracking key recruiting metrics (pipeline health, response rates, time-to-fill, interview-to-offer ratios) and adjusting strategy accordingly
  • Owning pipeline management in the ATS with clean notes, strong organization, and zero chaos
  • Representing Sage with transparency, expertise, and zero fluff

What you bring

  • Minimum 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a recruiting agency
  • Strong experience recruiting for engineering and product roles across North America
  • Confidence running technical screens and deep-dive candidate interviews
  • A solid understanding of how product and engineering teams actually work (and what “good” looks like)
  • Experience hiring for startups, scale-ups, or mid-size software companies
  • Strong sourcing skills and deep familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter
  • The ability to write tailored, transparent outreach that feels human, and get candidates on the phone when needed
  • Comfort managing candidates through the full recruitment process, from first message to signed offer
  • Experience supporting offer stages, including negotiation, counteroffers, and driving closes
  • Strong candidate prep skills, and a habit of providing timely, clear feedback
  • Comfort tracking recruiting metrics (pipeline health, response rates, time-to-fill, conversion ratios) and adjusting your approach accordingly
  • A love for cracking tricky or unusual searches (the ones that make other recruiters cry a little)
  • A commitment to ethical recruiting and doing right by candidates
  • Clear, friendly, direct communication, even when things get messy
  • Strong organization and documentation habits, including clean ATS notes and follow-ups
  • Curiosity about new tech so your technical screens stay sharp
  • Comfort working remotely, owning your results, and staying calm when things go sideways
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field (nice to have, not a dealbreaker)
