Job Title: Software Quality Engineer (Tester) – Pharmacy IT
Dates: 12/8/2025 – 2/28/2026 (11 weeks, 6 days; possible extension)
Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Rate: $40–50/hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a Quality Engineer (Tester) with strong automation skills to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in REST API testing, GCP, and Google Pub/Sub, and is familiar with the Robot Framework. Experience in the Canadian pharmacy domain, particularly Healthwatch, is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and automated testing for functional and integration scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using the Robot Framework.
- Validate REST APIs and ensure backend integration quality.
- Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and Pub/Sub for event-driven testing.
- Collaborate with developers and business teams to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
- Document test results and manage defects effectively.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and agile testing practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience per skill:
- Automated software testing
- Robot Framework
- REST API testing
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) & Pub/Sub
- University degree
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the Canadian pharmacy domain (Healthwatch systems)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
