The Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Materials Development team with the multitude of tasks that support the daily operations and organization of the department. This role is accountable for providing assistance where required to ensure the team successfully meets the business’s needs.

Some of What You’ll Do:

  • Monitor and follow up daily with suppliers on all material developments to ensure all developments are commercialized timely and successfully.
  • Assist with the prototypes and salesman samples material ordering process.
  • Ensure the Materials Master chart is up to date.
  • Create and maintain visual boards to support the season and brand direction.
  • Ensure that all adopted materials are tested internally and externally through third parties following product requirements and with applicable calendar timelines in partnership with the QA team.
  • Organize Material Library.
  • Issue and organize materials Purchase Orders.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of supplier and factory capabilities.

Some Of What You’ll Need:

  • College OR university degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Business, Textiles, or a comparable degree/education.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in Sourcing, Materials development, or Product development preferably within the outdoor apparel industry and/or Sportswear.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Good knowledge of outerwear, technical apparel, and fashion dynamics.

Some Of Who You Are:

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written). Speaking French, Chinese, or Korean is an asset.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work as a team and maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion.
