Due to continued growth, we are seeking a full-time Senior Architectural Discipline Manager to join our Windsor office. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a wide range of architectural projects from schematic design through construction and on-site contract administration
- Prepare and oversee architectural working drawings, construction details, and specifications with a strong focus on quality control
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within a collaborative, team-based environment
- Coordinate and contribute to all phases of project delivery, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to budgets and schedules
- Lead and participate in business development activities
- Manage and review work produced by project teams for quality, compliance, and constructability
- Apply sound knowledge of building science, construction detailing, and applicable building codes
- Conduct site reviews to assess compliance with drawings and specifications and prepare related reports
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, consultants, and clients in a fast-paced, supportive environment
- Support the firm’s long-term growth with the potential to advance into a principal management role and future partnership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of professional architectural experience
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (latest editions) within a Sr. Architectural Discipline Manager environment
- Experience producing high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models; SketchUp proficiency considered an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate to senior-level knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and applicable standards
- Strong understanding of building science, construction detailing, and quality control methodologies
- Demonstrated leadership experience coordinating and managing project teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Field experience conducting construction reviews and contract administration
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continual professional learning
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong dedication to client service and technical excellence
Travel:
Job sites ~ 15% of time
