Travelling Superintendent – Tilt-Up Warehouse Construction

We are seeking an experienced Travelling Superintendent to join a leading Canadian construction firm specializing in large-scale tilt-up warehouse and industrial projects across the country. The successful candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of major projects, valued between $30M and $60M, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through to project completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality control, and cost management.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to resolve technical issues and keep projects on track.
  • Oversee scheduling, material deliveries, and progress reporting.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with company and client standards.
  • Represent the company professionally on-site and foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trades.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a Superintendent on large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • Proven track record in tilt-up concrete warehouse construction is only considered.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of construction safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to travel extensively across Canada and work a 10 days on / 4 days off rotation.
  • Valid driver’s licence required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $130,000 – $160,000 (depending on experience)
  • 15% salary uplift to reflect travel rotation
  • $165/day living out allowance
