Supply Chain Planner

Role Summary
As Supply Chain Planner, you will support the end-to‑end planning and control of Brukar’s global supply chain. Working hand‑in‑hand with the head of supply chain along with sales, engineering, customers, and suppliers, you will translate demand into executable production schedules, balance inventory with working capital goals, and surface the data‑driven insights that fuel continuous improvement and world‑class service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Convert demand forecasts and firm orders into purchase/production orders for Brukar’s Indian plant and global partners (China, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc.).
- Maintain a dynamic Master Production Schedule (MPS), proactively adjusting for capacity constraints, engineering changes, and shifting customer priorities.
- Partner with customers to keep demand signals accurate and up-to‑date.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to seamlessly integrate NPI and ECNs into the plan.
- Troubleshoot production disruptions in real time—re‑sequencing, reallocating, and communicating as needed.
2. Inventory Management
- Placing orders, setting and maintain safety stock, reorder points, and Kanban quantities across ~1,000 SKUs.
- Assist in cycle counts and reconciliation to deliver >98 % inventory accuracy.
- Monitor aging inventory, and service levels; recommend actions to free working capital without risking fill rate.
3. Supply Chain Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards (Excel / Power BI) covering capacity utilization, supplier OTIF, freight spend, and other key metrics.
- Analyze historical demand to sharpen forecast accuracy and dampen order spikes, focusing on high-impact suppliers.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose process or layout changes to improve flow, shorten lead times, and compress the cash-to‑cash cycle.
4. Logistics Support
- Collaborate with suppliers by consolidating shipments to align with production requirements and demand.
- Track ocean, air, and LTL shipments; support optimization of container utilization and freight spend.
- Track in-transit orders, update ETA’s in the ERP, and communicate changes to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Incoterms, customs regulations, and import documentation requirements.
5. Cross Functional Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Provide clear, concise supply chain status updates to Sales, Operations, and Engineering.
- Lead regular production planning huddles with key supply partners and customers.
- Support Quality & Engineering on first article approvals, ECNs, and supplier readiness.
- Document and iterate SOPs for planning, forecasting, and inventory control.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4-6 Years in production planning, materials management, or supply chain analytics within a manufacturing environment.
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Confidence interacting with suppliers, customers,
- Hands on experience with ERP/MRP systems (OrderTime, Epicor, or equivalent) and advanced Excel; Power BI a strong plus.
- Solid grasp of manufacturing processes, inventory control methodologies, and capacity planning.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable manipulating large data sets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – demonstrating an ability to communicate from the shop floor to the C‑suite.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or similar certification is an asset.
