Role Overview

As FMI’s first dedicated Technology team member, the Systems Analyst ensures the organization’s digital tools, data infrastructure, and systems integrations operate reliably and efficiently. This role blends systems analysis, technical execution, and cross-functional collaboration to support operational excellence and strategic growth.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will manage and improve FMI’s technology stack—including CRM, LMS, ecommerce, web platforms, integrations, and cloud-hosted systems—while providing guidance on scalable, future-ready solutions.

This role requires that the incumbent live within 2 hours of the GTA. 

Key Responsibilities

Systems & Platform Management

  • Administer, configure, and optimize HubSpot, Zapier, Google Workspace, Microsoft tools, and core applications. 
  • Oversee WordPress/WooCommerce and Moodle (AWS-hosted) environments, including PHP-based customizations, plugin support, and performance optimization. 
  • Conduct system analyses to evaluate gaps, improve workflows, and translate business needs into functional requirements. 
  • Lead database design and maintenance across CRM/CDP/ERP systems, ensuring clean, structured, interoperable data. 

Integrations & Development

  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot APIs, webhooks, LTI connections, and other system integrations across platforms.
  • Support minor web development and portal enhancements ensuring usability, stability, and alignment with business needs. 
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting tools; lead incident response protocols.

Data, Reporting & Quality Assurance

  • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models to support organizational decision-making. 
  • Perform routine data cleanup, validation, and backup processes to maintain data hygiene and system reliability.
  • Create and execute test plans to validate system functionality and ensure smooth deployment of changes. 

Support, Collaboration & Governance

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across systems; serve as primary technical liaison with SaaS or service providers. 
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and support user training / knowledge sharing when needed. 
  • Contribute to IT governance, documentation, version control, and compliance best practices.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience across multiple IT environments.
  • Certified Systems Professional (CSP) Certification, Information Systems Professional (ISP), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or ITIL Certification highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge and experience in systems analysis, workflow design, database architecture, testing, and documentation. 
  • Significant experience with: Google Workspace, Microsoft, WordPress/ WooCommerce, HubSpot, Zapier, cloud services, SQL/MySQL, APIs, webhooks.
  • Programming: PHP, Python, Java; familiarity with BI tools and data analysis.
  • LMS experience (Moodle) and AWS exposure are strong assets.

Compensation 

  • $70,000 – $90,000 per year commensurate with experience
