Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join a dynamic organization in the home goods and furniture industry. This role is integral to driving growth by sourcing, attracting, and securing top-tier talent across local, U.S., and international markets. The successful candidate will design and execute strategic recruitment initiatives, manage the full recruitment cycle, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience while embodying the company’s core values of Passion, Teamwork, Integrity, Accountability, and Innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies aligned with business needs and growth goals.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from initial outreach to placement, ensuring a professional and engaging candidate experience.
- Conduct interviews to evaluate candidates’ skills, competencies, and cultural fit.
- Leverage platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, job boards, and social media to attract top talent.
- Build and maintain proactive talent pools for current and future roles.
- Collaborate with domestic and international recruitment agencies, including overseas partners, to support specialized hiring.
- Source and recruit for diverse roles across multiple functions and geographies.
- Stay current on labor market trends and legal hiring requirements in different regions.
- Manage multiple high-priority roles simultaneously with efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilize and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS); BambooHR Talent Portal experience is an asset.
HR & Cross-Functional Support
- Share market insights, recruitment best practices, and innovative strategies with internal teams.
- Partner with the HR Generalist to support day-to-day departmental needs.
- Assist in fostering company culture through engagement and team-building initiatives.
- Monitor the Careers inbox and maintain applicant tracking records.
- Support other HR or recruitment-related tasks as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 2+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, including U.S. and international hiring.
- Proven track record in meeting hiring targets and contributing to business growth.
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes, tools, and best practices.
- Experience working with overseas recruitment agencies and managing cross-border hiring.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Microsoft Office Suite, and ATS platforms (BambooHR is an asset).
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent roles with exceptional organization and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- General HR experience or exposure to broader HR functions is considered an asset.
