Adecco is currently hiring a full-time mechanically inclined and detail-oriented Valve Technician to join our client’s team in Tracy, NB. In this role, you will travel to customer sites to support the servicing, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of safety and relief valves. You will also assist with the removal, installation, and inspection of valves in both field and shop environments. The position includes work in our valve shop, including sandblasting, cleaning, and receiving product.

  • Pay Rate: $52,000 – $75,000/year (based on the level of experience)
  • Location: Tracey, NB (open to residents of Fredericton or Saint John)
  • Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Assist technicians with the servicing, testing, troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair of safety and relief valves in the field and in-shop
  • Perform installation, removal, and inspection of valve systems according to safety and operational guidelines
  • Complete shop duties such as sandblasting, cleaning, and receiving materials
  • Maintain accurate written and verbal service reports
  • Operate measurement devices and test gauges; ensure accurate data collection and reporting
  • Use sound judgment in identifying issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Travel to client sites as needed, including occasional short-notice assignments and overtime work

Qualifications:

  • Mechanically inclined, with hands-on mechanical experience and/or relevant education considered an asset
  • Familiarity with mill, plant, or industrial environments
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in basic mathematical calculations
  • Experience with measurement tools and test gauges is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and take responsibility under stressful or hazardous conditions
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Prior experience in safety valve maintenance (field and shop settings) is an asset
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
