Position Overview

The Vice President of Product Development will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s travel product portfolio, leading innovation, and ensuring the delivery of world-class travel experiences. This executive will oversee the full product lifecycle—from ideation and market analysis to development, launch, and performance optimization—while aligning product strategy with business objectives and evolving consumer demands.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in product development, product management, or strategy within the travel, hospitality, or tourism sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and scaling travel products across diverse markets.
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in market analysis, pricing strategies, and customer segmentation.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to balance creativity and commercial discipline.
  • Experience working in a global or multi-market environment is a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Define and drive the overall product development strategy, ensuring alignment with company vision, growth targets, and market trends.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop innovative travel products, services, and experiences to enhance customer value.
  • Oversee the creation of scalable and profitable product lines across multiple regions and customer segments.

Product Development & Management

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, including concept development, feasibility analysis, design, pricing, and go-to-market execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, operations, technology, finance) to ensure seamless product launches and ongoing success.
  • Continuously monitor product performance, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize offerings and ensure competitiveness.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing product development team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Develop strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, vendors, and strategic partners to enhance product offerings.
  • Champion a customer-first culture, ensuring that products deliver exceptional value and experiences.

Innovation & Market Intelligence

  • Stay ahead of emerging travel trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes.
  • Incorporate technology advancements and sustainability practices into product development initiatives.
  • Lead product innovation labs, pilots, or beta programs to test and scale new travel concepts
