We are partnering with a leading global Workday partner with a very strong pipeline of Workday Payroll projects across the United States and Canada. They are expanding their dedicated Payroll deployment team and are looking for experienced Workday Payroll specialists who want to focus on end to end deployments and grow into future leadership roles.

This is a delivery first opportunity with real backing, consistent projects, and a clear path into solution leadership and people leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead Workday Payroll US or Canada workstreams from design through go live, including discovery, requirements, configuration, testing, cutover and post go live support
  • Act as the primary Payroll contact for client stakeholders across HR, Finance and Technology, representing Payroll across the programme
  • Plan and run client workshops, gather and document requirements, and present design decisions to senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrate and explain complex Workday Payroll functionality in a clear and confident way
  • Partner closely with technical teams on integrations for Payroll inputs and outputs, including Time, Benefits, General Ledger and third party providers
  • Guide and support junior consultants on projects, acting as a mentor and role model within the Workday practice
  • Contribute to practice tools, templates and delivery methods to drive consistent, high quality Payroll deployments
  • Balance client expectations with commercial and project constraints, knowing when to push back, when to escalate and when to go the extra mile

Permanent profile

  • Strong hands on experience with Workday Payroll US or Canada
  • At least two or three full end to end Workday Payroll deployments where you acted as a lead or key functional consultant
  • Recent configuration experience across core Payroll areas such as earnings and deductions, taxes, time off and leave, inputs and results validation
  • Experience leading a functional workstream on a Workday implementation across the full lifecycle
  • Background delivering Workday Payroll projects either partner side or customer side
  • If you are not currently with a partner, full support toward Workday certification can be provided if you bring around three end to end Payroll deployments as a lead
  • Strong consulting skills, including presenting, leading workshops and explaining complex solutions in simple terms
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence building relationships in both remote and onsite settings

Contractor profile

  • Already certified in Workday Payroll US or Canada
  • Supported at least three Workday Payroll US or Canada deployments in the last three years in a lead or senior role
  • Able to step into complex live deployments and quickly build credibility with client stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in fast moving delivery environments with clear timelines and outcomes
