About the Role

Our Executive Underwriter, Learning and Quality Specialist (Personal Lines) customizes solutions for internal clients seeking advice on insurance risks. They collaborate with Underwriters to develop unique Personal Lines Home and Auto solutions, staying updated on industry developments to refine or create new products and guidelines that meet customer needs.

This role involves maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through various communication channels, paying attention to details, and providing written guidance for risk assessment. The position is recognized as a subject matter expert in Personal Lines, collaborating with teams across Actuarial, Legal, Claims, Finance, and Systems.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

  • Excels in Complex Personal Lines Underwriting
  • Possesses problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Has coaching and mentoring experience

Qualifications include:

  • Post-secondary education in an Insurance-focused or related program
  • Progress towards or completion of CIP designation
  • 10+ years of Personal Underwriting experience, with High Net Worth experience considered an asset
  • Customer-first mentality
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
