A growing consulting organization is seeking an Experienced Change Management Facilitator to support clients undergoing complex transformations. This role involves guiding teams through change with structure, clarity, and steady leadership. You will work directly with stakeholders at all levels, helping organizations adopt new ways of working and move through transformation with confidence and alignment.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished change practitioner who brings strong facilitation skills, excellent planning capabilities, and the ability to navigate fast-moving environments with professionalism and composure.
Role Overview
This role is ideal for a seasoned change practitioner who excels in facilitation, thrives in complex environments, and brings steadiness and clarity to teams. The Change Management Facilitator will apply an established change methodology, lead high-impact client engagements, and help organizations move through transformation with alignment and momentum.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients at all levels, ensuring that change plans are well designed, well communicated, and well executed. The role requires strong planning skills, thoughtful facilitation, and the ability to guide teams through ambiguity using a structured and reliable approach.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Ownership & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned group of stakeholders.
- Understand stakeholder incentives, constraints, power structures, and belief systems.
- Build trust rapidly while maintaining objectivity and candor.
- Observe and track behaviors, patterns, narratives, and readiness signals.
- Ensure stakeholders remain aligned to the sponsor’s vision and measurable outcomes.
Mental Model Diagnosis & Change Enablement
- Identify the mental models influencing stakeholder behaviors and underlying root causes.
- Assess awareness, willingness, and timing required for mindset or behavioral shifts.
- Use structured diagnostic tools and risk logs to guide interventions.
- Develop narratives, workshop content, and experiments that help stakeholders recognize and adopt the required shift.
- Document evidence of progress and update risk logs accordingly.
Root Cause Analysis & Risk Interpretation
- Apply structured assessment tools to identify core drivers of misalignment or unpredictability.
- Translate complex system issues into clear, insight-driven explanations.
- Quantify the impact of stakeholder behaviors on schedule certainty, operational performance, and program outcomes.
- Provide crisp, defensible recommendations to executive sponsors and project leadership.
Facilitation & Workshop Execution
- Lead collaborative working sessions using a structured, outcome-oriented approach.
- Facilitate workshops designed to surface patterns, build alignment, or enable mental model shifts (e.g., vision clarification, root cause exploration, diagnostics).
- Guide stakeholders through complex or sensitive conversations with neutrality, courage, and clarity.
Deliverable Development & Communication
- Produce clear, concise, strategy-level deliverables, including reports, slide decks, and analyses.
- Summarize insights using a risk-aware, outcome-driven logic.
- Communicate findings in structured, non-defensive, evidence-anchored language.
- Ensure that all insights and recommendations directly support predictable program and project delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in change management, ideally within consulting or transformation settings.
- Bachelor’s minimum (psychology, engineering, business, behavioral sciences, systems thinking, public policy, sociology).
- Preferred: Master’s in organizational behavior, systems engineering, or business.
- Strong facilitation skills and experience working effectively with executive and senior leadership teams.
- Familiarity with recognized change frameworks (ADKAR, Kotter, or comparable approaches).
- PROSCI certification preferred; PMP an asset.
- Lean or Six Sigma background (Black Belt or higher ideal).
- Excellent planning, communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism, steadiness, and resilience.
- Experience working in fast-paced, ever-changing environments is considered a strong asset.
