Responsibilities<br/><br/>Manages all stages related to bringing new products into production, from early discussions with engineering through to production transfer; including participation in feasibility discussions, evaluation of development and manufacturing costs, coordination of manufacturing engineering activities, tooling, and manufacturing sites.
Ensures the transition into regular production once development is completed.
Creates and manages project plans and ensures communication with clients.
Day-to-Day Activities<br/><br/>Participate with manufacturing engineering in reviewing engineering concepts to assess feasibility, evaluate manufacturing costs and influence final design.
Work closely with production teams (employees, supervisors, managers) in a plant and office environment.
Develop and monitor the project plan.
Coordinate development activities among all stakeholders.
Communicate project progress.
Remove obstacles to ensure smooth development.
Oversee the transition of parts from development mode to production mode.
Requirements for Success<br/><br/>Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Proven strategic and tactical leadership.
Strong communication skills and ability to build networks.
Bilingualism in English and French, spoken and written.
Knowledge and proficiency with related computer tools: Microsoft Office, Visio, MS Project, and knowledge of SAP.
Strong autonomy and excellent interpersonal skills.
