Our client is a growing architectural studio operating across Western Canada, delivering a diverse portfolio across multi-family residential, high-end custom homes, and commercial projects. They offer a collaborative, design-led environment where team members are involved across all phases of delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Intermediate Architectural Technologist to take ownership of documentation, work closely with consultants and internal teams, and play a key role in delivering high-quality construction documentation across all project phases. *hybrid role
Responsibilities:
- Preparing high-quality construction drawings and contract documentation using Revit.
- Lead the development of technical details, specifications, and building envelope solutions.
- Coordination with consultants and internal project teams.
- Supporting building code analysis, bylaw reviews, and permitting submissions.
- Contribute across all phases of project delivery, from early design through to construction, ensuring well-coordinated, accurate, and technically strong documentation throughout.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience, with a strong understanding of the Alberta Building Code and municipal bylaws.
- Experience with municipal permitting processes is essential.
- Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent accredited qualification.
- Solid foundation in wood-frame construction, detailing, and building envelope systems is required.
- High level of attention to detail and strong technical documentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential, AutoCAD & SketchUp considered an asset.
The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $60,000 – $80,000 (depending on experience) + bonus potential, benefits and hybrid (2 days WFH).
