To ensure the best Student Experience on Campus, we are looking for a diligent and conscientious individual to join us as an Associate Director to oversee operations on site at our Kamloops Campus.

As Associate Director, you will serve as the leader, team builder, and operations manager, ensuring that the campus runs as efficiently as possible.

What you’ll be doing

In this role you will own and oversee the day-to-day operations at campus level, in line with Sprott Shaw College Guidelines, ensuring a clean, and safe environment for staff, students and visitors to the site.

You’ll be key to all goings on onsite, including programme schedules, policies and procedure as well as direction for ways of working on campus.

As such, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all school policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Determining program schedules based on enrolment and management of resources
  • Instruct students and follow the guidelines of the Instructor Handbook
  • Review student courses and teacher evaluations and address any concerns (in consultation with the Campus Director)
  • Recruit and train instructional and support staff
  • Ensure that support staff are well informed by conducting regular staff meetings
  • Address any student queries or concerns

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Undergraduate degree or professional designation accompanied by two years of experience in education or teaching; OR a five-year combination of academic and related experience (supervisory experience preferred)
  • Experience or Knowledge of post-secondary education procedures (including instructing experience) and policies
  • Knowledge of financial models would be desirable
  • Reliable means of transportation is a must

How will this process work?

The interview process for this position will consist of the following stages:

  • Competency style interview with two senior leaders – 60 minutes
