People Force is looking for a Automation Engineer with Healthcare Domain for a 6 month contract role with one of our client. This position is a Remote (Canada EST Time Zone) role
Overview
Automation Engineer with expertise in Selenium/Playwright, Medical Imaging, API Testing, and Performance Testing, responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks and validating complex 3D visualization and imaging workflows.
Experience: – 8+ Years
Primary Skills –
Dicom, API Testing, Automation Testing, Selenium/Playwright, Medical Imaging, and Performance Testing.
Mandatory skills –
Automation Testing Expertise
· Strong hands-on with Selenium / Playwright / C#
· Ability to design and maintain automation frameworks (not just scripting)
Image / UI Validation
· Experience in validating rendered images / canvas-based UI
· Techniques like image comparison, pixel validation
Medical Imaging Domain
· DICOM fundamentals
· Radiology workflows
Test Engineering
· Functional, integration, regression testing
· Strong defect triaging & root cause analysis
API + Integration Testing
· API validation (Postman/Swagger)
· End-to-end workflow validation across systems
Performance & Reliability Testing
· Ability to validate system under load / concurrency
GenAI Usage in Testing
· Test case generation
· Automation acceleration
· Debugging/productivity improvements
Responsibilities: –
- Perform end-to-end testing of MUV 3D visualization workflows including rendering, annotations, and measurements.
- Validate image quality, accuracy, and performance across different datasets and scenarios.
- Design and execute automation frameworks and test suites for UI, API, and integration layers.
- Implement image-based validation techniques for non-DOM UI components (canvas/3D viewer).
- Conduct performance and concurrency testing for large imaging datasets and multi-user scenarios.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to identify, triage, and resolve defects efficiently.
- Contribute to product hardening activities including regression, stability, and release validation.
- Leverage GenAI tools to improve testing productivity and coverage.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide QA insights, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support automation strategy improvements including self-healing frameworks and intelligent test selection.
Good to Have Skills
- Experience in 3D rendering / visualization systems
- Exposure to WebGL / VTK / imaging libraries
- Healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOMweb)
- Cloud & DevOps (Azure, CI/CD pipelines)
- Observability-based testing (logs, metrics validation)
- Security testing (TLS, authentication flows)
- AI/ML basics (image processing, segmentation understanding)
This position is for a current vacancy with our client.
The compensation range reflects our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable provincial legislation. The salary/rate offered will depend on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and overall fit for the role.
USD $40–$47/hour (C2C)
