Ward 4 Parkdale–High Park City Councillor Campaign
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized, proactive Campaign Operations Manager to help lead the day-to-day operations of our Ward 4 city councillor campaign. This is a full-time volunteer + honourarium contract position running from July 15, 2026 through November 1, 2026, working closely with the candidate and campaign leadership. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys bringing structure to complex, people-focused work. You’ll oversee campaign operations, coordinate volunteers and staff, manage schedules and logistics, and help keep the campaign running smoothly until election day.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the campaign office (7 Roncesvalles Ave) and campaign logistics
- Support the candidate’s schedule, meetings, and event coordination
- Oversee campaign compliance with the Municipal Elections Act
- Coordinate and support volunteers and campaign staff, maintaining visibility across canvassing, events, and volunteer recruitment
- Help organize fundraising activities, including phone banking and donor events
- Maintain accurate voter contact and campaign data
- Coordinate lawn sign and literature inventory, distribution, and tracking
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and external service providers
- Support Get Out The Vote (GOTV) planning and election day operations
- Stay informed on municipal issues and community events relevant to Ward 4
What We’re Looking For
- Availability to work approximately 40 hours per week through election day
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as campaign activities require
- Strong organizational, project management, and operational planning skills
- Experience leading teams, coordinating volunteers, or managing projects
- Previous experience in political campaigns, community organizing, or operations is an asset
- Familiarity with Toronto municipal politics and the Parkdale–High Park community is a strong asset
- Comfort working with Google Workspace and basic data management tools
- A collaborative, dependable, and trustworthy professional who enjoys working as part of a team
- No specific educational background is required
Compensation
This is a volunteer contract position paid as a weekly stipend in accordance with campaign budget guidelines. As an independent contractor, this position does not include paid vacation, benefits, or employer tax withholdings. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own income tax obligations. Note hours will be flexibly arranged to accommodate other responsibilities (school, other work, childcare, etc.) per alignment with the candidate and campaign team.
Compensation: $250 per week (approximately $3,500 for the contract period ending November 1, 2026).
