Senior Citrix Administrator / Citrix Architect

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Citrix Administrator (Citrix Architect preferred) to assess, optimize, and modernize our existing Citrix environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Citrix infrastructure design, administration, and troubleshooting, with the ability to evaluate the current architecture and provide strategic recommendations for improvements, upgrades, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess the current Citrix environment, including architecture, performance, security, and scalability.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement within the existing infrastructure.
  • Develop and present recommendations for upgrades, optimizations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Design and implement Citrix solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Administer and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Citrix-related issues affecting performance and user experience.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and desktop support teams.
  • Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation plans.
  • Ensure best practices are followed for security, availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience administering and supporting Citrix environments.
  • Strong expertise with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix ADC/NetScaler, and Citrix Cloud.
  • Experience designing and architecting enterprise-scale Citrix solutions.
  • Proven ability to assess existing environments and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and environment optimization.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Citrix certifications (CCA, CCP, CCE, or equivalent).
  • Experience leading Citrix migration, upgrade, or modernization projects.
  • Background in cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell preferred).
