We are looking for someone with experience as a Cloud Architect to join a team for a long-term project they currently are a part of. The name of their client will be revealed in the interview.

Title: Cloud Architect

Location: Downtown Montreal

Work model: Hybrid, 2-3x week in office need to be flexible. dependant on client, could be less

Type of position: Full time, permanent

Salary: 140k-160k with a little flexibility + 3 weeks vacation + benefits and RRSP matching. Employees are able to participate in the plan after 6 months of employment

● RRSP – Employee Contributions

  • Eligible employees may make a Basic Contribution of up to 3% of earnings and a Supplementary Contribution of up to 2% of earnings. Employee voluntary contributions up to CRA Maximum:
  • Contributions are limited to 18% of a taxpayer’s previous year’s earned income, less any Pension Adjustments (DPSP of Registered Pension Plan entitlements) earned during the previous year and are subject to annually adjusted contribution limits.
  • Lump sum contributions to the Group RRSP may also be made and claimed annually with the employee’s income tax return as a deduction.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic discussions with client stakeholders to define the end-to-end cloud migration roadmap, including target-state architecture, cloud platform selection, and integration strategy.
  • Assess existing VMware on-premise environments to identify technical dependencies, migration risks, and architectural challenges while providing recommendations to ensure a successful transition.
  • Define and govern cloud architecture standards, best practices, and technical design documentation to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions.
  • Design and implement cloud networking and security architectures, including Palo Alto security solutions, to ensure secure connectivity between on-premise and public cloud environments.
  • Lead and participate in the hands-on migration of virtual machines and enterprise application workloads to public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA).

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience designing and architecting enterprise solutions across multiple public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proven hands-on experience leading large-scale VMware to public cloud migration and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong expertise with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including experience with OpenShift Container Platform and container migration strategies.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud networking and security solutions, including Palo Alto Networks technologies.
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience designing CI/CD pipelines, automating application deployments, and provisioning cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps practices.
