Your New Role
In this role, you will manage a high volume of leasing files and deadlines, working closely with lawyers, clients, and opposing counsel to ensure matters progress efficiently. Your responsibilities will include preparing and handling a variety of legal materials such as RSLA filings, applications, motions, and judgment and writ packages, as well as coordinating skip traces, property searches, and corporate profile reports. You will arrange for service of court documents, maintain court filings and deadlines, and organize and manage files with a high level of accuracy. The role also involves ongoing correspondence with clients and counsel, scheduling and diarizing key dates, and preparing writ clearance confirmation letters in response to external requests.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience in leasing law or high-volume file management preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking capabilities
What You’ll Receive In Return
- Hybrid: 50% in-office / 50% remote
- Annual docket target: 1,400 hours
- Salary: $75,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience
