We are seeking a skilled Composite Manufacturing Technician to support the manufacturing and assembly of large aircraft composite components and structures, including fairings for Q400 Airtanker Conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble composite aircraft components and structures, including fairings, panels for Q400 Airtanker Conversions
- Perform composite layups, bonding, vacuum bagging, curing, trimming, drilling, and finishing of completed parts
- Use molds, resin injection machines and curing ovens as part of the manufacturing process.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with aviation safety regulations
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and production teams to meet delivery schedules
Qualifications/Experience
- 2+ years of experience in aerospace composite manufacturing
- Knowledge in resin vacuum infusion and oven curing processes
- Proficiency in composite layup processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience working in accordance with aerospace quality standards
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Aviation experience preferred
