The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operational activities, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations. They manage and coordinate teams, assign tasks, monitor performance, and resolve issues to maintain smooth workflow processes. The Operations Supervisor will collaborate with other departments, implement process improvements, track key performance metrics, and ensure customer satisfaction. Supervise daily activities of operators, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules. Assist in planning daily and weekly production schedules, aligning staffing requirements accordingly. Troubleshoot production issues to minimize disruptions and maintain product quality. Provide initial and ongoing training for operators in safety procedures, equipment handling, GMP requirements, and company policies. Inspect machinery for cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper setup before production begins. Monitor and uphold housekeeping and sanitation standards within the facility. Collaborate with teams across departments to achieve operational and business objectives. Process and approve labor reports while conducting daily payroll reviews. Oversee operations to address equipment malfunctions and facility-related concerns. Participate in employee evaluations, coaching, and training initiatives. Manage inventory levels of tooling and spare parts to support uninterrupted operations. Ensure GMP documentation is completed before production begins. Escalate production challenges with well-informed recommendations for solutions. Prepare reports and performance updates for departmental review. Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials. Oversee and maintain shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance. Utilize ERP systems to support data-driven decision-making. Adhere to company Health & Safety policies, SOPs, and safety responsibilities. Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all sensitive areas. Support special projects and initiatives as assigned. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in the pharmaceutical or natural health industry, or a related University/College degree. Proficient in computer systems and software relevant to operations management. Capable of walking long distances and standing for prolonged periods. Valid driver’s license required. Forklift license is an asset but not mandatory. Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends, as needed.
