Our client, an established international infrastructure contractor, is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager currently based in Canada who would consider relocating to Germany.

The opportunity

As Project Manager, you will oversee HDD projects from planning and mobilisation through to successful completion, taking responsibility for operational delivery and commercial performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating project activities, resources and site operations
  • Managing project schedules, budgets and commercial performance
  • Leading project teams and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
  • Overseeing contracts, tenders, procurement and cost control
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
  • Identifying and managing technical, operational and commercial risks
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely and to the required quality standards
  • Resolving challenges and keeping project delivery on track

What we are looking for

Strong, in-depth HDD experience is essential for this position.

You should bring:

  • Significant experience delivering Horizontal Directional Drilling projects
  • At least five years of project management experience within construction
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, teams and resources
  • Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of EPC project delivery
  • Experience with estimating, tendering and procurement
  • A degree in civil engineering or comparable technical qualifications and experience
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent German and strong professional English
  • German citizenship
  • A genuine willingness to relocate to Germany

Experience using iTWO, MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar project management systems would be beneficial.

Location

The position is based in Germany and involves regular travel to project sites across the country. Candidates do not need to be based near one specific office, provided they can travel to projects as required.
