WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Collaborate on strategic investment with property management, insurance, treasury and capital projects teams to craft and execute investment strategies that maximize value and performance.
- Execute acquisition due diligence efforts in partnership with acquisitions, financing, property management and capital teams to ensure seamless transactions.
- Continuously liaise with property management counterparts, providing clear direction and objectives for stakeholders with diverse skills overseeing the generation and stewardship of operating budgets.
- Regularly evaluate asset performance metrics inclusive of asset plans, building matrices, budget-to-actual reporting, and measurement of priority projects as part of organizational strategic planning and budgeting.
- Work collaboratively with investment and acquisitions team to align asset management strategy with investment objectives.
- Develop, review, and recommend annual budgets, conduct income statements and balance sheet forecasting as required.
- Provide ongoing feedback to executive team on market dynamics and asset performance, offering recommendations for budget and asset plan adjustments.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with industry peers within and outside of the organization, establishing yourself as a recognized expert in multifamily asset management.
- Maintain accountability for property performance, including revenue, repairs and maintenance, bad debt, and other controllable expenses with the property management team.
- Directly steward property tax appeals and work with the energy and insurance and risk teams to guide non-controllable expenses.
- Provide market engagement through travel to assigned assets as needed to perform property inspections (less than 25% of time).

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- 5+ years of progressive experience in multifamily real estate or Asset Management.
- A comprehensive understanding of real estate cycle is required.
- University degree with concentration in finance, accounting, commerce, engineering, or related field. Holding or working towards a CFA, CAIA, CPM, CPA, or relevant professional designation is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Proven explementary communication and presentation skills with comfort in explaining analytical details in a clear way.
- Demonstrated ability developing and sustaining cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple demands and competing priorities while embracing new ideas and constant changes.
