We are looking for a proven senior leader to oversee our Commercial Lines Team in Toronto. The Director, Commercial Lines is responsible for growth and profitability of the KRGinsure Toronto commercial book of business. Managing all things commercial including a team of Risk Placement Brokers handling placements for auto, property, casualty and specialty lines.<br/><br/>This position reports to the Executive Vice President, Commercial Lines
Position type:<br/><br/>Full-time, permanent<br/><br/>Role Status:<br/><br/>Replacement<br/><br/>Location:<br/><br/>Toronto<br/><br/>Primary Responsibilities:<br/><br/>Strategically lead, coach, and inspire the Commercial Lines Team.<br/><br/>Support our Senior Risk Placement brokers on placements for mid-market and large complex commercial risks.<br/><br/>Work closely with our Production Team and Senior Account Managers on ensuring clients’ needs are exceeded.<br/><br/>Exceed growth targets in KRGinsure’s business plan<br/><br/>Conduct performance reviews and create development plans that promote continuous improvement<br/><br/>Ensure team performance aligns with established service standards and turnaround times<br/><br/>Identify opportunities to improve procedures, workflows, and efficiencies<br/><br/>Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:
Licensing & Education<br/><br/>Minimum 5 years of proven risk placement experience on large complex commercial risks (including specialty lines)<br/><br/>Minimum 5 years managing a team in a commercial lines insurance environment<br/><br/>In-depth knowledge of commercial lines insurance processes, workflows, and policies<br/><br/>Strong market relationships<br/><br/>5 years’ experience leading a Senior Risk Placement Team.<br/><br/>Technical & Analytical Skills<br/><br/>Strategic thinking, strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities<br/><br/>Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills<br/><br/>Proficient in insurance software and related tools, with the ability to quickly learn new systems<br/><br/>High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively<br/><br/>Strong problem-solving skills, particularly when handling escalated or complex files<br/><br/>Compensation Range:<br/><br/>$140,000 (75%) to $180,000 (125%)<br/><br/>Placement on the range is based on proven skills and experience related to the position Director, Commercial Lines. Compensation is based on a full-time 35-hour work week and will be dependent upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. It includes variable commissions and potential performance-based bonus.<br/><br/>Why Join Us
