About the Team

Product Management Directors are strategic thinkers and dedicated problem‑solvers who lead product teams to drive step changes in high value outcomes for our organization and customers. You will re‑imagine how people interact with money across a portfolio of products, creating experiences that simplify and enhance customers’ lives while delivering measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Define target customer experience and embed customer‑first thinking within the team.
  • Coach the team to build product vision and strategy grounded in the end‑to‑end customer journey.
  • Set key success metrics and measurable outcomes, prioritise work to maximise growth and impact across teams.
  • Explore and apply domain‑relevant technology to push the boundaries of what is possible, partnering with engineering and design.
  • Develop and evangelise a product vision that aligns with business goals and delivers on user needs and investment appetite.
  • Balance speed to market with risk management, regulatory compliance and experimentation.
  • Lead and develop a team of Product Managers – manage performance, coaching and career growth.
  • Lead cross‑functional roadmapping and delivery with product, design, engineering and operations.
  • Co‑ordinate with teams in Canada and the US to unlock leverage and extend impact.
  • Contribute to the culture and practices of product management across Capital One Canada through tools and methodologies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executives, customers and partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience.
  • 7+ years of people‑leadership experience, specifically managing Product Managers.
  • Experience creating and delivering customer‑centric, data‑driven product vision and strategy.
  • Track record of delivering quantifiable results with significant business and customer impact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services, payments, technology or operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
  • Strategic and detail‑oriented, operating at both 10,000‑ft and detail levels.
  • Intellectually curious, willing to explore and propose bold ideas.
  • Strong communicator and influencer, able to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Bias toward action, resilient in the face of setbacks.
  • Passionate about customer experience and growth, with a desire to connect with stakeholders.
  • Team player who prioritises collective success over personal recognition.
