Your New Role

As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s continued growth by preparing accurate and competitive electrical estimates. This is a full-time, in-office position, working closely with project managers, suppliers, and senior leadership to price projects from tender stage through award, ensuring scope clarity, cost accuracy, and timely bid submissions.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Experience within the electrical construction industry
  • Proven background in electrical estimating, preferably on commercial and/or industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, and systems
  • Experience using estimating software such as Accubid or similar platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Review tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Complete detailed material and labour take-offs
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and bid submissions
  • Manage RFIs, RFQs, addenda, and tender documentation
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
  • Maintain estimating databases and historical cost records
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and successful bid outcomes
